Meet the Artists

Major Scales

Major Scales (he/him) is a musician, writer and performer based in Seattle who has written everything from award-winning shows on the east coast to music for amateur adult films on the west. His songs have played everywhere from RuPaul’s Drag Race to Wigstock. Major last performed at the Intiman with his long-touring musical comedy The Vaudevillians, created by himself and stage partner Jinkx Monsoon. The pair have also released two albums, The Inevitable Album and The Ginger Snapped, available streaming. He recently appeared in and wrote music for The Jinkx and Dela Holiday Special, available streaming on Hulu. When the world is working, he can also be seen  performing his annual Halloween horror extravaganza with BenDeLeCreme “Beware the Terror of Gaylord Manor!” in Seattle. His most recent radio play, “WQUR: Queer Quarantine Radio” is available whenever podcasts are streaming.

Jinkx Monsoon

Jinkx Monsoon and her body double, Jerick Hoffer- both began their careers in Seattle. Jerick, played roles such as “Filch” in Seattle Shakes’ production of “Threepenny Opera” at the Playhouse; while Jinkx appeared at every gay bar and cabaret available to her at the time (RIP The Rosebud.) Occasionally, Jinkx and Jerick would co-star in shows like “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” It was in Seattle that Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales developed their long enduring show: “The Vaudevillians.” Seattle also brought BenDeLaCreme into Jinkx and Jerick’s lives, and we all know what that led to. Jinkx is thrilled to be sharing the love for Intiman, and Jerick thinks it’s pretty damn neat as well.
