Upcoming Classes

FACILITATING TRUST /
IMAGINING FUTURES

THREE DAY WORKSHOP WITH MICHAEL ROHD

June 20-22, 2025
10am-5pm
Lee Center for the Arts

For people who facilitate, teach, lead, direct, guide or host in classroom, arts, public engagement, community meeting, organizational, municipal or team contexts.

If you do the work of facilitating groups and projects, of imagining possibility, you are making opportunities for connection, and you are stewarding hope. You are doing the hard work of building trust. And America in 2025 is dangerously low on trust. Harmful policies abound; public narratives don’t match and talking with strangers has never felt so fraught. This course invites you to strengthen your capacity to hold space for trust, dialogue and change.

FREE COMMUNITY CHOIR WORKSHOP

WITH SAM TOWNSEND, JR. AND MEMBERS OF THE BLACK NATIVITY CHOIR

Saturday, June 28
2pm-5pm
Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute

You’re invited to Intiman Night School’s FREE Community Choir Workshop, with Rev. Sam Townsend, Jr.! Sam is the music director of Black Nativity, and he will be joined by members of the choir and band. Learn the basics of Gospel music while singing songs from the show in this fun community setting. Singers at every level and people of all ages, races, and backgrounds are welcome. Join in and discover the magic and music of this annual holiday spectacular, before seeing the return production playing later this year.

Presented in collaboration with LANGSTON, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute, and Seattle Office of Arts & Culture.
