This summer, to celebrate our 40th anniversary, we will launch a theatre festival that will take audiences on a ride through Intiman’s rich theatrical history, and plant the seed for many festivals to come.
Four plays – including Shakespeare, Ibsen, an American classic and a new piece conceived and directed by Dan Savage – will be performed in repertory on our main stage, in our studio theatre, and in the courtyard.
A company of 12 local actors will tackle all of the roles.
Our collective of local artists, with whom the theatre intends a long-term relationship, will be responsible for generating the ideas that come to life on stage. Next season we’ll produce projects led by directors Allison Narver and Valerie Curtis-Newton, choreographer Olivier Wevers and actress Marya Sea Kaminski.
