The Acting Company and Intern Team include 17 performers who make up the 2012 Intiman repertory company. Witness them portray over 40 roles and jump from character to character throughout this summer’s repertory performance schedule. Ladies and gentleman, from verse to drag, they can do it all.

Burton Curtis

Burton Curtis*

Burton has been acting/directing/choreographing in Seattle and around the country for over 25 years. His work ranges from classics (Don Juan at Seattle Rep, The McCarter, San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre and The Shakespeare Theatre of D.C., Triumph in Love at Seattle Rep, Long Wharf, and Missouri Rep, Agamemnon at The Getty Villa) to new works (Texarkana Waltz at Empty Space and Circle X, LA., Valley of Dolls at Empty Space, Wuthering! Heights! The! Musical! at Empty Space and Actors’ Theatre of Louisville). He is delighted to be making his Intiman debut by once again collaborating with Ms. Narver and Mr. Savage.
Hannah Victoria Franklin

Hannah Victoria Franklin

Hannah is a Co-Artistic Director of the Washington Ensemble Theatre and was seen in the Ensemble’s productions of Hunter Gatherers , RoboPop!, Sextet, Babs the Dodo and Bed Snake. Additionally, she’s performed at Book It Repertory Theatre (Border Songs), West of Lenin (White Hot), SSR (Natural Selection), at IRT (Twelfth Night and The Nerd) and with Intiman’s Living History Tour in 2009. Hannah holds an MFA from the UW and a BA from the University of Colorado. She’s performed in a various capacities throughout the United States, Japan, Russia, and at New York City’s Carnegie Hall. Additionally, Hannah is a part time Lecturer at UW and serves as the Administrative Director for the Washington Ensemble Theatre and a teaching artist for various local non-profits.
Shawn Law

Shawn Law

Shawn law is proud to be a player in Intiman’s inaugural Summer Theatre Festival. He was previously seen here as Ben Gordon in Paradise Lost. A NorthWest Actor for over 14 years, Mr. Law has also performed leading and supporting roles at Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Book-It Repertory Theatre, Wooden-O Theatre, Seattle Public Theatre, GreenStage Theatre, Sound Theatre Company, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Theatre Northwest, Artswest, Consolidated Works, Harlequin Productions, Taproot Theatre Company, Theater Schmeater, Annex Theatre, Theatre Babylon, Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre, and 14/48: THE WORLD’S QUICKEST Theatre Festival. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA, Mr. Law may be seen/heard in numerous Television and Radio commercials, video games and He recently guest starred on NBC’s Grimm: Let Down Your Hair. Shawn is a recipient of a Seattle Times Footlight Award for Acting.
Michael Place

Michael Place*

Michael is thrilled to be making his Intiman debut this summer. Elsewhere he has appeared in God’s Ear, Never Swim Alone, Finer Noble Gases, Swimming in the Shallows, Mr. Marmalade (Washington Ensemble Theatre), The Water Station, Suite for Strangers, Myra’s War (Pacific Performance Project/east), The Neverending Story, The Outsiders (Seattle Children’s Theater), Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing (Seattle Shakespeare Company), Bud, Not Buddy (Book-It Repertory Theatre), Madama Butterfly (Opera Omaha, designed by Jun Kaneko), Clutch Your Amplified Heart Tightly and Pretend (Yale Cabaret). He is a collective member at Intiman, a company member with Pacific Performance Project/east, was a founding co-artistic director of Washington Ensemble Theatre (04-09), co-artistic director of the Yale Cabaret (44th Season) and is a recent graduate of the Yale School of Drama; love to my Wilsons.

Ryan Fields

Ryan is thrilled to be making his Intiman Theatre debut. He is honored to be able to partake in this unique undertaking with such a wonderful group of artists at such a pivotal moment in Intiman’s History. Ryan has worked on various stages in Seattle including Book-it Repertory, Balagan and Theatre 9/12.
Quinn Franzen

Quinn Franzen

Quinn Franzen is making his Intiman debut with Romeo and Juliet and Dirty Story. A company member of the Satori Group, he was last seen onstage in Fabulous Prizes and Artifacts of Consequence. Before coming to Seattle, he toured with the Maryland Shakespeare Festival. He has trained with Freehold Theatre, Pig Iron, The Market Theatre in Johannesburg, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He holds a BA in Theatre from Williams College. He has endless gratitude for his mom, his dad, and his extended non-biological Satori family.
Fawn Ledesma

Fawn Ledesma

Fawn is overjoyed to be making her Intiman Theatre debut this fine Summer Season! Most recently you may have seen her dancing and tumbling up a storm in Village Theatre’s ‘Annie Get Your Gun’. As a BFA graduate of Cornish College of the Arts’ Theatre Department, college credits include: Hero in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, Lily in ‘Quilters’, and Belen in ‘Anonymous’. Proudly raised in the artsy hometown of Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Ashland!)–Fawn feels right at home with this Intiman Theatre family. She is infinitely thankful to all the magical ones in her life.

Carol Roscoe*

Other Seattle: Pilgrims Musa & Sheri in the New Worldat ACT Theater (TPS Gregory Award Winner), You For Me For You, The Whale, And When We Awoke There Was Light and Light (Icicle Creek Theater Festival); Twelfth Night, Hamlet (Seattle Shakespeare Company), Persuasion (Book-It Repertory); Getting Near to Baby, Shape of a Girl, The Magic City (among many others at SCT), & 14/48. Regionally, she has performed in Chicago, Tucson, Phoenix, Washington, DC, and New York. She holds an M.F.A in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theater at GWU, teaches at Cornish College of the Arts and is a member of the Sandbox Artist Collective. Most recently, Carol directed The Art of Racing in the Rain at Book-It Rep.
Allen Fitzpatrick

Allen Fitzpatrick*

A professional actor for 40 years and an acclaimed interpreter of Shakespeare’s characters, Mr. Fitzpatrick spent twenty years performing on Broadway. After relocating to Seattle in 2006, he appeared in scores of productions at every major Seattle theatre, including Intiman (Uncle Vanya; Richard III), ACT, Seattle Repertory Theatre, and the 5th Avenue. He appeared in a dozen Off-Broadway plays, crisscrossed the country in five National Tours, and was often seen on Law and Order. He has won Footlight and other awards for his work. Allen is founding Artistic Director of the renowned Icicle Creek Theatre Festival for new play development.
Marya Sea Kaminski

Marya Sea Kaminski*

Marya Sea Kaminski is a performer and a writer whose heart beats between Seattle and Brooklyn. Most recently, she has premiered her latest solo performance, Riddled, for Richard Hugo House and appeared at the Seattle Rep in Clybourne Park. Acting credits include the title role in Electra at Seattle Shakespeare, Hedda Gabler in blahblahblahBANG! at On the Boards, and Simone Alone at La Mama ETC in New York. Marya has received a Stranger Genius Award in Theater, a Seattle Gregory Award for Outstanding Actress, and “Artist of the Year” from Seattle Magazine. Timothy Piggee

Timothy McCuen Piggee*

Recently appeared on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can, and has appeared in several productions at Intiman including: Measure for Measure (Angelo), Richard III (Hastings), Crumbs from the Table of Joy (Godfrey), Cymbeline (Caius) and The Taming of the Shrew (Hortensio) among others. Locally he has starred at every major Seattle theater, including ACT, 5th Avenue, Seattle Rep, Village Theatre and Seattle Children’s Theater. Nationally he has appeared at Denver Center Theatre Company, Arizona Theatre Company, Portland Center Stage, Missouri Rep, Milwaukee Rep, Pioneer Theatre Company and others. Timothy is an Associate Professor at Cornish College of the Arts.
Shellie Shulkin

Shellie Shulkin

Shellie Shulkin is delighted to be back at Intiman where last she was seen as Petronella VanDaan in The Diary of Anne Frank. Favorite roles include: Sen. Linda Smith – The War Party, Edith – Edith Stein, Amanda Wingfield – The Glass Menagerie, Mai O’Hara – Our Lady of Sligo, Big Maggie – Big Maggie, and Meg in The Birthday Party. Touring credits include Three Viewings as Virginia Carpolotti at the Spoleto Festival in South Carolina, and performances of Jewish literature with Nextbook in Chicago, Washington D.C. and Benaroya Hall. Ms. Shulkin is a graduate of the Drama Studio London, UK, and most recently, back from New York studying Shakespeare with Patsy Rodenburg. Thanks for everything Pop.

Angela Rose Sink

Angela Rose Sink

Angela Rose Sink is elated to be making her Intiman debut with Miracle! As a senior at Cornish College of the Arts she spends her time creating original work in theatre and dance. You may recognize her as Tina in Bed Snake at Washington Ensemble Theatre, or some of her favorite roles at Cornish including Opium Smoke Spirit (Mystery of Edwin Drood) and Gris Gris (Back Bog Beast Bait). As well as numerous performances with the Cornish Dance Department. She would like to thank Andrew Russell and Ali el-Gasseir for their continuous support of her artistic growth in the Emerald City.

Drew is delighted to be a part of the Intiman summer festival. Recently he appeared as Pentheus in Cornish College of the Arts production of the Bacchae and Ludwig in The Piper. Drew will graduate from Cornish in the Spring 2013 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. Tsige Tafesse

Tsige Tafesse feels blessed and honored to be apart of this festival taking note and learning from the brilliant artists working together to create these productions. She has been working in and around theater locally since she were a wee babe, from performing in shows to most recently working as a theater teaching artist (favorite performance credits include: Dog Sees God, Hairspray, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream) Come fall Tsige will be attending PCPA, exploring her dreams of working with theater to enact social change and to one day create safe spaces to have serious conversations about oppression in any and all forms, making moves from positions of shame/guilt to places of activity/empowerment.

 

John Pyburn

Jonathon Pyburn

Jonathon Pyburn is a senior at Cornish College of the Arts, earning his BFA in Theater. He majors in Original Works and hopes to move to Chicago after graduating to continue working with collaborators to produce exciting new plays. Last spring, John could be seen as Dionysus in Euripides’ The Bacchae, and has performed at On The Boards and in various theaters throughout Seattle.
