STREAMING ON DEMAND MAY 9-15TH

Join Intiman Theatre for the Pacific Northwest premiere of TWO MILE HOLLOW, by Leah Nanako Winkler, directed by Jesse Jou. This comedy centers on a wealthy white family gathering together to dish secrets and drink wine one last time in their Hamptons estate before the home is sold. A cast of Asian American Pacific Islanders turns the “rich white family with secrets” genre on its head and splits it open for laughs and stinging insight.

"Unrelentingly hilarious"
-Chicago Tribune

"Everything desired of a good parody: It’s deliciously biting, wildly over-the-top and unrelentingly hilarious."
-Twin Cities Pioneer Press

"Sick of plays about rich white people? ‘Two Mile Hollow’ is, too."
-San Francisco Chronicle

"So peppered with references to everything from Anton Chekhov to pop star Drake that multiple viewings are recommended to take it all in.""
-Chicago Reader

ABOUT THE PLAY

Meet the Donnellys. A very white family with very white problems. Their movie star father has passed away and his children and widow have returned to Two Mile Hollow, their Hamptons estate, to divide the contents before selling the home. It’s supposed to be a family-only affair but son Christopher, also a famous actor, has brought his personal assistant, Charlotte, along with him. Soon, the white wine starts flowing and secrets are revealed and Charlotte must decide where she fits inside it all.

A parody family drama in the style of Chekov, Eugene O’Neil, Tennessee Williams, and Sam Shepard, Leah Nanako Winkler’s hilarious and insightful play will leave you thinking long after the laughter has faded.
