Intiman has one of the most beautiful facilities in Seattle. With our lush courtyard, expansive two-level lobby, and full service bar and concessions counters, you’ll enjoy every minute of your theatre-going experience.
Courtyard
Enter the courtyard from the east or west side of the building. Centered in the gardens, surrounded by lush foliage is the Fountain of the Northwest, a cast bronze sculpture created by James Fitzgerald for the building’s opening during the World’s Fair in 1962. Many patrons arrive early for performances to enjoy beverages and gather with friends amidst the best hidden getaway of Seattle Center. On warm days we offer an outdoor bar.
Lobby
With two grand staircases, floor-to-ceiling windows and original works of art, Intiman’s lobby stands out as one of Seattle’s premiere gathering spaces for theatre-goers. Patrons can access the theatre from four entry points either on the main floor or upper loft.
Theatre
The Intiman Playhouse holds a semi-thrust, proscenium stage with an intimate, highly-raked house holding 446 seats. The seats are numbered even on the right and odd on the left side of the house while the center section is numbered consecutively from house left to right. The last row is a mere 50 feet from the stage.
Food and Beverages
A full-service bar is located in our upstairs lounge featuring cocktails, wine and beer. On the main level we have a delicious selection of hot and cold drinks, freshly baked cookies and dessert as well as a host of other snacks to enjoy before the show or at intermission. Our concessions and bar are open one hour prior to curtain. We encourage you to pre-order your food and drink items to have them waiting for you at intermission.
Featuring: Alki Bakery, Theo Chocolate, Izze Soda, Hale’s Ales, Starbucks Coffee, Coca-Cola products and more.
