Come hear original stories from our Emerging Artist Ensemble! Illustrating the new American dream, 12 artists will perform live, autobiographical work never seen before on Seattle stages. This year’s Showcase Production will feature performances by our Emerging Artists, with leadership and guidance from Co-Curator Sara Porkalob.

For the third year in a row, Intiman will produce the Intiman Emerging Artists Program (IEAP), a free program that brings about 20 up-and-coming diverse local artists together during the summer for professional training and development that prepares them to work professionally in the region. For 2016, the cohort was 73 percent people of color and 63 percent female-identified.

The best part? Over the course of six weeks this group of artists works to create a Showcase Production to share with industry professionals and the general public. We can guarantee that this year’s Showcase Production will be a moving, stirring, and uplifting evening of theatre.

“The Seattle community is full of narratives that deserve a full voice, and having a seat at the table with Intiman means I can give power to those narratives,” Porkalob said.

The showcase is free and open to the public but seating is limited. Reserve your seat today!
