2008 SEASON

MARCH 21 - MAY 17, 2008
One of the most timeless and inspiring stories ever told, The Diary of Anne Frank stands as a testament to the strength of the human spirit. That the story is true, and not just a play, is what makes it so compelling.

MAY 30 - JUNE 22, 2008
Far East meets East Coast in this world premiere, written and performed by award-winning actor Andrew Weems. This vividly told journey of self-discovery blends the exotic and familiar, as a man who gets easily lost finds himself immersed in a succession of vibrant, faraway cultures. This intimate epic is a soaring tale of family, travel, love and the turmoil of growing up.

A Streetcar Named Desire
JULY 3 - AUGUST 2, 2008
Tennessee Williams’ poignant story of tarnished dreams, hidden desires and the destructive chemistry between Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski stands as one of the great works of the 20th century. Powerfully emotional and exquisitely told, the ability of this dramatic masterpiece to steal your breath away and stop your heart makes this show a “must-see”.

AUG. 15 - SEPT. 13, 2008
When a Hollywood agent sinks her teeth into a client, nothing will keep him (and her) from the big time! This Tony-nominated story of a surprising relationship between a closeted movie star and a “rent-boy” is a slick send-up of the star system, combining witty wordplay with the glamour of a Hollywood blockbuster. The result is a hilarious and touching take on sex, love and the high cost of celebrity.

SEPT. 26 - NOV. 8, 2008
INTIMAN completes its five-year American Cycle with All the King’s Men, a masterfully written look at the temptations and complexities of power. A riveting tale of charisma, personal relationships and the politics of corruption, wrapped in a cloak of history, this towering adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel will feature a cast of 16 actors, plus accompanying musicians.

NOVEMBER 29 - DECEMBER 27, 2008
Part theatre, part concert and part church service, Black Nativity: A Gospel Song Play is a remarkable testament to community. Bringing together artists and audiences of different faiths, ages, backgrounds and beliefs, this holiday classic and Seattle tradition unites us through song, story and dance.
